Introducting Douglas and King People – Our Senior Architects and Project Leaders.
The studio is directed by Martin King, DAK’s founder, who sets the aspirations, agenda and spirit of each project and assigns them to senior architects who then manage the design and delivery process. They are the hub of our design team and are briefly introduced below.
Each project architect is fully conversant with our internal management and appraisal tools and ensures that all involved are fully up to speed via clarity and regularity in reporting the project’s current and ongoing status. They test the viability of the project at every stage to ensure it continues to be in line with the development appraisal.

Introducing our Wider Team.
Good team management must be the backbone of any property development. As Architects we are central to the design process, all documents and decisions relating to a project at all stages are processed through architectural design. We use our experience to clearly brief our consultant partners and track progress with our programing and critical path analysis tools. Our development appraisals include all predicted and existing team costs and are regularly updated and included in our monthly progress meetings and reports to our clients.
We are privileged to work with some of the UK’s best consultants every day of our working life. We have regular interaction with Property Agents, Quantity Surveyors, Engineers, Surveyors, Approved Inspectors, Environmental Specialists among many others.
We are also proud to work with our clients collaboratively and fully incorporate their business models via intelligent, informed and creative architectural solutions.
